What are exotic dance competitions and what are they?
International dance contests are events that allow the contestants to compete in a type of dance with risqué or sexual motions. They can be dance competitions encompassing pole dancing, burlesque and other erotic dance; they may stress sportiness, ingenuity and presence.
Technique, choreography, costumes, quality of performance, audience participation are all evaluated amongst other things. Some contests will even be about aesthetic or the use of particular themes. Players vie for cash, fame or to go on to bigger and better tournaments.
They’re competed in clubs and even at special performances, varying rules, audience interaction and intimateness. They allow dancers to prove themselves and be known in the exotic dance community.
